Formed in 1993, Winona River & Rail became one of the newest river terminals on the upper Mississippi River.  Our primary business is the sales and distribution of agricultural fertilizers in a 4 state area, SE Minnesota, western Wisconsin, NE Iowa, and southern Minnesota-extending west into South Dakota along the DME railroad corridor.

We handle most dry fertilizers: urea, potash, phosphates, sulfates.  In addition to fertilizers we also have the capacity to store dry commodities for others.  Our storage capacity initially was 12,000 ton.  In 1996 we added 7,500 ton.

In 2001 we built 2 -9,000 ton domes.  This fall (2003) we are adding our third dome, another 9,000 ton.  We also have tank space capacity for liquid fertilizers (UAN and 10-34-0).
